The story of Indurent

Indurent is the UK’s largest specialist owner, operator and developer of multi-let industrial and logistics property, created in July 2024 when Blackstone brought together the previously listed Industrials REIT and St Modwen Logistics under one platform. The combination leveraged Industrials REIT’s customer-centric operating technology and St Modwen’s development pipeline to form a fully integrated industrial property business covering urban light industrial, last-mile logistics and mid-to-big-box schemes across the UK.

Backed by Blackstone, the platform was originally underpinned by the c. £700 million take-private of Industrials REIT in 2023 and has since grown into a multi-billion-pound UK logistics portfolio through further acquisitions and development. Indurent’s typical customers range from SMEs and regional manufacturers to national distributors, e-commerce operators and third-party logistics providers, all seeking well-located, flexible space close to major population and transport hubs.

Challenge: Identifying a customer-focused leader

As Indurent continued to scale, the leadership team identified the need for a senior Marketing and Sales Director to strengthen customer acquisition and retention. 

The organisation believes in the use of technology to improve customer experience. They achieve this through their use of the Hive platform and property search platform. As a result, they are incredibly customer-centric, and place their customers at the heart every decision made.  

When searching for a commercial leader, it was important that they had a deep understanding of the customer and how to enable technology to improve lead conversion and overall customer satisfaction. 

The CEO engaged 3Search Executive to lead a targeted headhunting process for this key leadership appointment.

Following final-stage interviews, a Marketing and Sales Director was successfully appointed, bringing the leadership capability required to drive customer growth and experience at scale.
